OPi Zero Plus2 H5 OS recommendation?

I'm looking for an OS with working HDMI, desktop, wireless, camera and GPIO.

I've downloaded a few of the images on this site, but each seems to have it's own issues with one or other of the above requirements, wireless and HDMI being the common problems.

It appears there's an HDMI problem in mainline u-boot, but several fundamental issues with legacy kernel.

This is a project I keep coming back to, but getting more urgent to resolve.

Has anyone got a recommendation, an image, or a process to produce a working image as specified?

If not, what would be the recommended path, considering I'm fairly confident building and writing code at device and kernel level?

I have an Image with everything working so far but is currently under testing and for some experiments. Good for evaluation for now only.
If you can tell which issues you have found i can check if it works with that Image and then push it to github if you are interested. Desktop is LXDE but you could install MATE easily.
