I agree about price tag, but I wouldnt mind if the 2gb ram PC version was $20, its still a deal.
1. TTL serial is an absolute must, especially if something goes wrong in uboot or working on the kernel. Needed
2. Microphone -- Not needed
3. IR -- Kodi is the "killer" app that drove sales of the SBC genre, without it, would they be as popular? Needed
4. The camera interface is moot point, use a usb camera if needed. Not needed
5. Power switch? Theres a power switch? :-) Not needed
6. GPIO -- Next to IR, major reason people use there. They're great for building IoT devices. Must have - Needed, possibally more as somebody else suggested.
Right now, OrangePi is a hit, and honestly, I would keep it all. Just charge a few extra $ for 2gb version. I love the fact they're such low power and cheap, I can spread them around for different tasks like kodi, but powerful enough to be used as webserver. The $15 price point is the sweet spot where you can buy a few to spread out shipping cost in case you'll use them in future. The RaspberryPi at $35, you have to explain it to your wife why you need a couple.
I'm waiting for the OPi Lite with Wifi, it will be my IoT device of choice. I already have my circuit designed to monitor my hydronic heater, just waiting for it be released before I finalise my board layout.
Just my $0.02
