There is no HW support fot 10 bit files, period. If you are using latest image, then it should SW decode it. If not, then it is a bug.

I am using the latest image. I guess SW decoding isn't working properly. No video, just blank screen.

Here it is latest experimental update (available for 14 days):
https://transfer.sh/zFv9K/openel ... r23118-g2d34c98.tar

Please test:
- Reverted and fixed 8188eu driver
- added boot logo
- CEC driver is taken from pine64 android 7.0 source (author: ayufan). It should be improved upon previously available driver. But because I don't have CEC capable device at hand, please test it as best as you can. Please also test if CEC caused system lockup before.

Probably I don't have to repeat - CEC is most important thing to test.

Ok, thanks for testing. I will check if anything obvious is missing.

Does anybody know if I buy HDMI ARC adapter, will I be able to use some sort of CEC?

Here is another test update for CEC:

Please test both and report. Without reports, I can't make any decisions.

The CEC starts well, but then stops working. With the stable version I do not appreciate this problem. I'll try the new update

Edit: With the new update exactly the same thing happens.

Hi,

OpenELEC (community) Version: devel-20161115223534-r23118-g2d34c98

How long logo is displayed depends on how quick your display switches to HDMI input. It is destroyed because this kernel never meant to be working with such driver. I will take a look if this can be fixed quickly.

So nothing really new about CEC, except that now it is even worse. I reverted the driver and I will leave it as-is till someone tries to fix it.

is it my monitor or the opipc-openelec-kodi that causes random flickers on screen while the black screensaver is on?

has anyone else experienced this?
