The SoC is the same and all, so I would imagine OPi2 - compatible images should work. Can't say for sure without testing, though. Alas, it seems all the most-skilled devs (Loboris, jernejsk, et.al.) have lost interest and as such I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

I received an Orange Pi One today.  The shipping was really fast.  It only took 7 days from when I ordered.  Thanks Steven!
Yes.  The Orange Pi PC images work on Orange Pi One.

Put off by RaspberryPi's silly marketing stunt - the unavailable 5$ PiZero - I stumbled upon the OPI ONE. The specs sounded very promising, so I ordered a couple boards for testing. Looking for further information like available software ( OS, drivers, GPIO..), board descriptions, howtos etc.. I finally landed here in the forum and I was rather disappointed to find out, that the whole OPI experiment rests on very few dedicated shoulders getting little or no support.

Even the most basic documentation for the OPI ONE is missing, but the board is being sold.  Great hardware is one thing. Working software in a usable form, concise correct documentation and happy customers are what really matters. Dear makers of OPI ONE - please prove me wrong and spend some time providing the bare minimum software and documentations NOW.

OPI can be one big success and it all starts with respecting the customers.

Have a nice day

I agree, this board need just minimal software support because without spi, i2c what is compatible with rapberry pi ?

It 's THE issue with full opensource board, the first maker work for the followers (concurent with H3), so why work hard? Big question non response! In my opinion, it's the job of H3 soc ingeneers to serve this work (who was paid? board makers, devellopers). It's jungle rules in fact, doing before a cool, cheaper board and hope everybody work on it

Maybe a OP chalange contest with small rewards for hard thing to work? Yes gpio, I2c and SPI have to work in the world of cool board!

processing too long, out of stock

Edited by frolix92 at 2016-2-10 22:23

I order a OPI one last week, after 7 days order is always in processing state (for additionnal 14 days), in this case I cancel my order, I don't want to wait 2 months (processing + shipping) for this card, On order the processing time was given for 7 days (not 3 weeks), seem to be out of stock.
