Pi 5 shows as "Loader device" not "MASROM device"

Hi. My Orange pi 5 shows up as a Loader device not a maskrom device so the software doesn't work to load a new image. I can boot from SSD or SD but cant load android onto the SSD because it requires this(RKDevTool) software. I have tried reloading the boot image from ubuntu on SD card which goes ok but it still shows up a Loader device. Anyone know how to fix this issue? I have tried pretty much every button in the app and it says "Unable to switch modes".
