Before testing the a new image I wish to backup my system (IR Remote configurations, and Kodi, with all addons).
How I can do that?  Simply making a copy of sd card?

SYSTEM >> OPENELEC >> SYSTEM >> CREATE SYSTEM AND KODI BACKUP

this will backup the /storage/.config directory (so make a habit of always storing important and custom scripts or config-files like IR-settings in the .config dir) and all Kodi userdata/addons/cache + settings

restoring a backup will not always work if there is too much of a difference in the used Kodi version (so trying to restore a Kodi 14 backup to a Kodi 16 system will  fail)

That is certainly the option. I believe that somwhere in the Openelec or kodi's settings there is a option for backup, but I'm not sure.

SYSTEM >> OPENELEC >> SYSTEM >> CREATE SYSTEM AND KODI BACKUP

this will backup the /storage/.config ...

I tried, but It doesn't seem to be working. No backup (or new files) are created under storage folder...

check again...the backups are stored in the /storage/backup folder

this is also where openelec checks for files if you want to restore the system...so if you have a new/blank openelec installation, create the folder /storage/backup and copy your backup tar file into this folder.

Finally I backuped my system.
I've created the backup folder and skipped all the other "request".  (sorry for the horrible reply, but today this forum is too much slow and it's impossible to use)
