Orange Pi One is being sold but there are NO ressources. Schematics, howtos, documentation, software are all missing and
nobody seems to even care about it.

I agree,  even though there is little or no support from the manufacturer, the project i am working is fairly simple hence i bought the OrangePi one due to low cost.
Otherwise i would have bought the Raspberry pi 2 or other well supported board for advanced projects.

I would not have bought a stack if that bothered me.

Here you go:

Forget about manufacturer(s), especially in this price range. In most cases they don't give more than they get from chip producer and are mostly pretending to provide support.

support and communication do not.

Payment process and distribution is automatized and fairly cheap while (English) communication and support are not. I guess that's the reason.
Second reason must be that we are actually not willing to pay for that.

Agreed - there is not a lot of holding hands to be expected at $10. Manufacturers and retailers would both benefit greatly from a broad acceptance of even cheaper boards.
Instead of marketing-BS like "compatible and beyond" they should concentrate on snap delivery and actually provide information they do have. Judging from the OPI PC
overclocking/overvolting disaster there is much room for improvement. In the meantime - thanks to the forum members for their terrific work in making the OPIs usable.
