@k3gbb use orangepi.cn/orangepibbsen to access the forum. Its faster

It looks like orangepi.org and orangepi.cn are two domain names for the same server.
boris@UbuntuMate:~$ ping -c 3 www.orangepi.org

Ok, back to the "real" thread!
orange pi 3 comes with the Allwinner H64 quadcore A53 1,34GHz with mali 400 MP2.
Now why should one buy the H64 instead of the probably more powerfull H3?
Now comes the "Trick" (cinese marketing)
The H64 comes with kernel 3.10.87 and Android 5.1 this means new SDK for the H64 but not for the H3!
"Custom" Kodi with "full" support for the H64.
H3 users are doomed!

if @zhao_steven can kindly confirm?

Boards:
orangepi plus, olinuxino A20, cubieboard A10, mele A2000 .....

@fritz   Orange Pi 3 mainly is for 64 bits demand.  It's not a replacement for H3.  H64 mainly is  used for network server. We are debuging mali driver and  Video hardware acceleration for H3.  First we are working for h3. Second is H64.  Do you understand our product strategy?

@Steven, I'm afraid I got sick of waiting and purchased a Odroid UX4 - yeah it was a bit more expensive that my OPi+ and certainly more than my OPiPC, but I now have a board with hardware acceleration in Android AND Linux.
If you don't sort out these issues with H3 before you continue developing more models of hardware I'm afraid you are going to lose the loyalty of everyone on these forums.
We've waited patiently, I can copy posts where you have promised things would be delivered in 2 weeks or a month, and we are literally months down the line and still nothing at ALL.
If it wasn't for the likes of @Loboris, we would be even further behind - but we appear to have hit a brick wall with regards any improvements over the last few months - and the only improvements I've seen are by us modifying other manufacturers android images.
This isn't how it should work - yes, the community will help - if you give us the tools, and stick to your promises.

Unfortunately I won't be wasting my time with the OrangePi any more - I'm disappointed that you didn't keep your promises, and are more interested in selling more hardware - than getting your existing hardware working properly.

I just wanted something more powerful than the raspberry pi - so my emulators etc would run better...
Unfortunately the most powerful hardware with no drivers doesn't beat less powerful hardware with good drivers.

Windows 10 is possible on the RPi - but don't expect a desktop environment, it is more for InternetOfThings.
Sorry you haven't had a response either =(

Yeah Kodi runs fine in Android, really impressed with it - but the description when I bought it said Linux, play games he said...but I want hardware acceleration in Linux.
I have android TV boxes to run Kodi, and they do it fine too - I wanted the Opi+ to do what it said it could do...faster processor, sata connection, EMMC for booting with onboard wifi and gigabit ethernet.
Seems I have to make some sacrifices - and can't have everything at the same time.
Zidoo image is great for Kodi, but no ethernet.
Linux might have sata and ethernet, but no hardware acceleration - do you see what I mean?
People are trying their best - but nothing from the suppliers to help - that's why I'm disappointed with this product.
