Hello,

I've searched for a while on google and youtube but found nothing.
I'm in doubt if i should buy the PC or PC2
its 5 dollars more expensive (shipping included) I dont find benchmarks anywhere.
I found a 3d mark for PC2 and an antutu for PC but nothing to compare the 2 with

i don't think the better CPU is gonne change much for me (i will mainly use android) but i think mali 450 vs mali 400 will be a big diffrence mainly for games.
i will also use emulators which mainly rely on CPU if i'm not mistaking. but i think PC will run all emulators smoothly (including PSX) or do i really need PC2 for it?

Also will orange pi run from PC/TV usb ports if the cable is 5V ?

Thank you for helping

I have a OP PC2 now for nearly 2 months and still no good working image.

If you want a well supported hardware, you are not a hacker and don't want to become one, don't go for latest boards. They are toys for developers, not something that you could use at this moment, today. Development is measured in months, years ... I got few (expensive) unusable boards around for more than 1.5 year and I could not get them much further, since not enough people are working on them. Alone or few people can't do much.

You are actually lucky, that this board has a future and active development exits, ... with speed which is possible. Lot's of boards doesn't get this luck.

Instead of complaining, you could help:
https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-pc2/

We work on those boards daily and provide daily builds. Images are still in testing phase and we know that problems exists, some are already detected / noted ... but we need more feedback to catch bugs, your brain to join the project - if you know how to fix things, supplies for lab, cash for bills & beer, ... and good working image will emerge sooner.

Those ports usually give 500mA which is not enough. Android support for any of those boards is unknown to me, probably is not very good. PC2 has new chip (H5), which is not yet very well supported. Retro gaming (http://www.retrorangepi.org/) is also not yet supported on this platform, H3 only.

Orange PC+ is safer purchase.

RPi has larger community, so yes, you get better support, but from users (!) which are not professionals, you don't pay them ... Company behind provides no support. Even if they did, it would be completely irrelevant since even a big company can't match broad community.

I appreciate your work on Armbian very much.
I have tried the PC2 image with desktop, and there is a shut down problem.
I read the note that it cannot shut correctly using a normal way, but some people said that sudo halt works fine,
But I can never get the board start again after the first shutdown, even with sudo halt.
should I cut the power directly or should I use the image without desktop? if I really want to use Armbian on PC2

I am afraid this feature is not developed yet. It's low level thing, unrelated to desktop / CLI image. Proper shutdown is not done ... you can put board to halt state but that's not it.
