If you bought this board today you don't have a bug free / stable build. Yes, basic mainline support is almost done, I have done some tests, looking good. Many people waited more than a year to this stage, so imagine the frustration. Personally I am not. I like to play with those boards and if everything is working is sometime boring too ;)

I only stating the fact that there is only one (old and buggy) kernel and no one is really fixing it (at least for my knowing) while everyone wants to have this and that distribution, KODI, whatever ... all on this unpolished base.

Does H3 have potential. Sure it does. But potential = future.

Ain't mainline kernel 4.5 supposed to have merged support for H3? I read somewhere something like that.

Basic / limited support exists in 4.4 yes, but that's not usable for end user.
Edit: I checked my build - it was done from Hans repo. I am not sure everything is in mainline yet.
