Hi, All
If you look in the thread linked below, there is a question outstanding for a week about  how to transfer an OS to EMMC for the new OPI Plus 2E. The question has been posted separately 2 times.

I was wondering what your advice is on OrangePI support?  How long do people normally wait for answers TO BASIC QUESTIONS ABOUT NEWLY ISSUED BOARDS. We are not talking about complex or unusual contexts. We are talking about a procedure that is ESSENTIAL in order to use the board as intended.

Forget about Orange Pi "official" support here. If you want help, go to Facebook:

Or download Armbian and run sudo nand-sata-install

Hi friend, i think forum should be a platform for communicating. Somebody ask and somebody answer. We are communicating with each other instead somebody are teachers and somebody are students.

@Admin
I have Radxa, and 3 boards of Hardkernel.  I never had any problem because documentation was available.

Where is the documentation for transfer SDcard to EMMC for the OPI Plus 2E? The script provided does not work, as mentioned here: http://www.orangepi.org/orangepi ... &highlight=emmc
Without this procedure, the board is running slowly from an SDcard. When issuing new boards you should at least check the ESSENTIAL PROCEDURES work?

Can't you employ a student to type two lines:

1.dd if=<inage> of=</dev/<sdcard>
2.Run sdcard_to_emmc script
?
if they want to keep customers, Orangepi cannot just stick up an internet forum software and wash their hands of their customers. A basic set of documentation should be checked for each new board issued.

Hi alerino
Thanks for the suggestion.
Infact I already did your suggestion of Armbian. It runs off sdcard but their script also fails because it cannot find emmc.

Only /dev/mmcblko is available. This is the sdcard.. No /dev/mmcblk1  can be seen. I asked admin in another thread if the board or emmc can be reset? Does the emmc have any boot sectors for example?

I'll have to use the wife's Facebook account. I agree with this article which says you'll only have as many true friends as people prepared to donate a kidney.

So I don't have an account. The articlle is a fun read.

That's strange, Armbian installs fine to emmc with sudo nand-sata-install, only that, so make sure you download latest version.
Below commands worked flashing a RetrOrange Pi image to emmc (booted from sd card, but an usb flash drive was used):

sudo dd bs=4MB if=RetrorangePi2.5.2-yourboard.img of=/dev/mmcblk1
cd /usr/lib/linux-uboot-yourboard-armhf
sudo dd if=linux-u-boot-spl.bin of=/dev/mmcblk1 bs=1024 seek=8
