Hello there,
I have and orange pi pc and used the device with several operatig systems. I can sey operating systems are runs smootly. It is really valuable a device, exactly better than I expected.
My question is; as you know there is no wireless module on orange pi pc. tried many models (broadcom, zyxel, tplink, us robotics, ..) of usb wi-fi adapters but no one worked. also tried them under the android but still same result. no work. I have also tried to install ndiswrapper module but couldn't find ndiswrapper in ubuntu repository. Anybody knows the running usb (or as module) wi-fi adapter running natively or anybody solved the driver problem?

Thanks and best regards
Tanzer

The problem is most likely with the distro you're running. Some distros ship with drivers, some don't. Personally, I recommend going with Armbian for now because it actually ships with a good bunch of WiFi-drivers and their firmwares.

eMMC installer not ready yet  ...for Armbian
I think that Debian - Jessie is the good solution for orange pi
The only problem is that the support isn't able to resolve many thinks ....but maybe the will solve soon.
The wifi is configured and working , there are two wlan adapter already, wlan0 and wlan1 plus eth0 for lan wired .
Just need to understand how to set and configure some files such as /etc/network/interfaces.conf
I'm watching some raspberry tutorials

I've tried FC22 & Armbian - booted right up - 12 hours later I still can't get a wifi to work.  Most of the detailed web posts want to know what lspci shows - hmmm, hmmm, pci?  what's a pci ?????

I've spent hours with nmcli, wiconfig, goooooooogle..... no joy.  I have 3 Realtek rtl81[89...] dongles (and a *7050*).  So a question:  Has anyone been able to get wifi working on a OP PC?  If so, distribution? and dongle?

Thanks

OPI PC / OPI ONE running Armbian work with this cheap wlan dongle (check yours with lsusb )

pi@opione_2:~$ lsusb

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0bda:8176 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188CUS 802.11n WLAN Adapter

You have to download/make the driver and install it per the following instructions :

Good luck and enjoy !
