Hi,
I've played quite a bit with the various Linux distributions using an SD card. No problem there, they all seem to work quite well. But I haven't yet found a way to install it in the emmc. Has anyone succeded there? I'm interested in either Debian or Ubuntu, although Debian would be preferred, as it seems to be lighter.

Thank you! All the best,
Diego

In Armbian all you need to do is to type:

nand-sata-install and select eMMC, USB or whatever else.
https://docs.armbian.com/User-Gu ... -emmc-nand-sata-usb

I asked because H3 mainline version is currently broken. Will be fixed tomorrow. H5 works fine.

For H3 it does, for H5 is under development. We are targeting modern (nonjunk) kernel.

That link is broken.
The manual can be found from a Google search.
I would advise against following the link to academia.edu. This site demands all your Google or Facebook contacts before it will let you download the manual.
There are less intrusive places where it is a simple download.

To install on emmc using the Raspian distribution on an OrangePi Zero plus 2, run the format and then install scripts in /usr/local/sbin
However, I have found that the format script runs OK, but the install script either crashes the kernel (lots of messages on the serial console) or it just locks up silently.
