We have expirienced somewhat similar problems with early images (except data aquisition was done by ethernet) and have discovered that in early distros cpu governer throttling was causing cpu overheat under relatively high loads. After that cpu cores began to shutdown one after another (if cpu didn't get cooler). It caused processes served by that core to terminate with sigkill.
In newer distros throttling is fixed, so the problem vanished, but still we are now using heatsinks for our boards. |
