Hi.

I have seen several people who have asked to have root access on OrangePi PC with OS Android, and I have not found someone to explain a way to achieve it.

I was successful, using an application called Kingroot and can be downloaded directly from "play store".

The process is simple, however, I must warn you some things:

  • The application takes advantage of some known "exploits" that has android 4.x.x
  • The software includes other applications that are installed with Kingroot (they can be removed after getting root access)
  • When access root is granted, KingRoot finally is part of the system, and can't be removed or changed by another program, as SuperSU for instance.
  • In the process, is possible that OrangePi restarts several times, and you should try to run the application 3 or 4 times before get success.

I hope will be helpful, in my case it work at the third time...

Greetings.

My apologies.

The thread that you mention was opened one week ago, I search a solution a few days before that date and could not find it, the only thing that helped me was the aforementioned program and so I wanted to share it with other users who could serve.
However, what you mentioned is rather a security flaw, which most users seek in android is an application (such as SuperSU) that allows us to grant or not (at our discretion) root access to other applications.
In my case I want to install a VNC server on android and it need root access for that application.
