WiFi two devices not a bug

I was very surprised to see the wifi  chip is MIMO multi-in multi-out on my OPI Plus

I got separate IP addresses on the two wifi connections

That puzzled me, too. I thoght I would give it a try and it worked. I connected to my router and the neighbor's open router. Now I am thinking it receives several signals on one antenna. Why not send signals on two channels(frequencies) with one antenna?
