Hei,.  can anyone help me,. im unable to write a file on my usb disk (opi PC) . im using ubuntu mate (vivid)

it's probably mounted as root. You can probably write to it with sudo in front of the command if you're copying the file. If you're trying to save the file from an app, you'd need to start the app with gksudo.

I'm a newbie to linux,  too, so your mileage may vary.

Didn't occur to me that the USB was formatted NTFS...
