I try to boot my Orange PI Plus2E and it always hangs at different stages of boot process. I monitor boot process via UART. I never tried to boot this board before.
I tried to use different OS images, different SD cards, I tried to boot without SD card. Every time, even with the same image and the same SD card it hangs at different stages, but about 4th second of boot. I waited 15 minutes maximum and nothing happens. So if the board would hang at the same boot stage I would write a part of log, but the stages are different each time.
When I try to boot from SD the screen is always black (even if UART is not connected), so I can see all logs only via UART. When I try to boot from eMMC I see only Allwinner logo at the screen and all boot logs can be viewed via UART too.
If I press any key to stop autoload, I can interact with the board and it does not hang. It responds for commands entered in terminal. But what can I do in this mode?
I know that it could be power issues, but: I use the cable came with the board I tried 3 different power adaptors including 2A Samsung and 2.1A Apple. I haven't tried only original 3A adaptor, I just ordered it.
But also I tried powerful 4.5A buck converter with LiIon battery pack (because I need to use the Orange Pi with battery in future) and situation is the same. Also I tried to power the board using my laboratory power source, the amper indicator shows only 0.5A current only, but nothing changed.
And also I tried to provide double supply: using barrel and gpio connectors simultaneously. I found this advice on armbian forum, it helped that person but haven't helped me.
By the way: I also have Odroid C2 and it works good from any of these power sources, so I do not believe that Orange PI is so capricious to power
So: what can it be? what additional information from can help you to help me?
