Today, I finally connect 2.5 hdd on my opi plus.
The copying speed is too slow through the samba .
I got only 12 ~15M/s
When connecting to the usb port to an external HDD, I got 30M/s.

Is this usb to sata bridge limitation?
or debian software problem?

I use deblan server version. ( http://www.orangepi.org/plusdownloaded/plus-Debianen.html)

OPI-PLUS has on-board SATA<->USB 2.0 adapter, so the speed is limited by USB 2.0 speed. You can expect max ~30 MB/sec.

I had tried internal SATA (SATA<>USB) speed was 27 Mb/s soon after boot and 12-14 Mb/s some times after.
Then i found old external 35 SATA case, i had tried it speed was 31 Mb/s soon after boot and 24-27 Mb/s (with no load) all time after.Image: debian-server.

This is something I need to know. Is the current speed limited by the drivers or the hardware? What is the maximum throughput allowed over SATA with the Orange Pi Plus hardware?

Thanks loboris, I believe the Banana Pi also uses a SATA USB adapter internally but it gets 47 MB/s so I am hoping Steve or somebody can say whether this is a hardware limitation or a software/kernel/driver limitation.
If it is a hardware limitation then I can go ahead and post the benchmarks, if it is a software limitation that will probably be fixed in the future then it would be unfair to the Orange Pi Plus to post benchmarks when it is not yet operating at its full potential.

Are you using WIFI to copy files from Windows computers? The Wifi is about 150M bandwidth.

Nope, the Banana Pi uses the A20 SoC (like two of the Orange Pis) and this SoC is SATA capable:
