Hi,
I know aac audio codec is supported, but some video files with aac audio are muted and sound is indicated as mono, not stereo (this is incorrect). Check out my sample (8 MB, 1 minute) indicated as mono and no sound:

@jernej do you have any idea what's wrong? Maybe ffmpeg version bump could help? I have many files that plays without audio, this is really bad...

No idea sorry and here you are on your own. My policy is to strictly follow upstream version of OpenELEC and additionaly, I don't have time to further develop OpenELEC.

It's not openelec related, it looks like it works on openelec on other hardware

I didn't change anything ffmpeg related, so I don't really know what could be the problem...

Hmm, I'm trying to figure out how that file differs from others aac audio and I'm still unable to determine it. AAC, similar bitrate, maybe it's related to encoder used... are there various aac standards/levels etc? Is audio hardware decoded on OPI? Maybe possible to switch to software decoding (higher cpu, but working?)

P.S. can anybody confirm issue on older Openelc builds for OPI?
