Trying to figure out why our CM4 Modules (with carrier board) have the same odd POR behavior.
When we connect USB-C power the board will power up as expected with the LED1 red light. When we remove and apply power the board will not power on. No red light. If we remove it again but wait about 20 seconds it will power on as expected.
We can reproduce the behavior when supplying directly to 5V pins as well. The power supplies are 5A capable and robust. Our concern is that if we use an external device to power cycle these CM4 modules they will not power back on.
Can anyone else reproduce this behavior?
Steps:
1. Connect power to the module with either USB-C or 5V pins
2. Confirm red light
3. Remove power
4. Replace power quickly (< 5 sec)
5. Confirm no red light
6. Remove power
7. Replace power after 20 seconds
8. Confirm red light
Thanks -AP
