Is there any way to boot Orange Pi 5 system from M.2 SSD without SD card?

If you are referring to the Orange Pi 5 OS then there is a dedicated firmware to flash direct to SSD (as well 2 others for NVME and SD card).

You can follow the instructions in the PDF for the Pi 5+. I wanted to change the boot image and the instructions worked. Essentially use the PC app to wipe the flash and the SSD.
What it doesn't mention is how to change the boot loader to give you an option to dual boot from an SD or USB once the NVME has been installed. That would be a nice update.

The Pi 5+ can be set up by following the PDF guide. The instructions helped me when I needed to replace the boot image. Use the PC software to delete everything off of the flash and the SSD drift boss

You can also wipe the SPI flash with this command:
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mtdblock0 bs=1M count=1
