first of all you must connect your ttl converter (rx->tx; rx->tx; gnd->gnd) to the board

download putty and run it
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

go to settings

Connection->Serial :
1)setup your name of ttl converter's com port (COM3 or COM6 or anything else, you can see it in windows device manager when plug your converter)
2)setup speed = 115200

Session->logging:
1)set "Session logging" to "All session output"

in root "Session" category you can save your session options(to reuse in future)

then click "Open"
then power on your board - you'll see boot process

after all, power off the board and go to putty.exe directory - you'll find putty.log file.

what you actually mean under "change the gui to console"? You want to see console output on hdmi/tv screen instead of logo? If yes - no way to do this yet, coz new u-boot has no support h3 displays.

PS
Besides, where is your boot log? If you collected log - why still no posts with it here?

This is not general purpose image. It is specifically made to run Kodi. There is also no apt-get or similar programs. I would suggest that you use Armbian, but it's lacking TV out support. However, it is easy to compile it yourself. If you don't know how, ask on Armbian forum to include this patch in next version: https://github.com/jernejsk/Open ... -88-enable-tv.patch

BTW: Thank you for the log. It has exposed the problem which I didn't know, because I don't have OPiPC.

Please use another thread for unrelated issues. This is already marked as solved.

Hello! Thanks for greate work!
I try OPENELEC image from this thread (by fsmoke - https://mega.nz/#!Lkl2CLQC!PT7y5 ... ktRBSEJUPAce3W1r7OE) with old CRT TV - it works in general. I can play videos from my DLNA server, listen music etc...
But when i try PVR IPTV Simple Client addon from official repository, i've got a problem. It imports m3u playlist correctly, but when i start play videostream, i can hear sound only - no video...
