There's the trick to it. I always wait, till it shows up on the pre-release page, to try the latest image anyway.

I do have another problem I'd like to report, there's likelly a soluition out there already somewhere, but, I haven't found it yet.
I'll toss a name at it like "Video Over Run":
Your warching an IPTV/M3U channel of live TV, from one of the addons, suddenly the sound stops, and the video either, goes into "Fast Forward, or slows down to a crawl".
You can pause the video for 7 seconds and back to Play mode, and it comes back to normal with both picture & sound again, but, that doesn't last long, till it does it again.
My thought is that the the video missed a buffer point, and continued on past it, trying to keep caught up with the streams activity.
It's most often occour in the late afternoon and  prime time evening.
I've already almost cleared the buffering issue with "Advanced Settings", because "Zero Cache" didn't work for me.

Any ideas?

i have an orange pi one, openelec works fine, but i would like to use an infrared receiver connected to gpios, opi one doesn't have an ir available (without very difficult soldering for me). Has anyone managed to use lirc_rpi or other drivers to use a remote control via gpios?

You can use any of the available GPIO pins for IR too. It's changing two lines in script.bin.

Actually that is not true. First of all, OpenELEC uses mainline IR driver, which doesn't look at script.bin at all. Secondly, that pin setting is not used even in the old driver.

Hello everyone,
I am using openelec on Orange pi PC.
I have an issue when I use DVB-T dongle ( AF9013).
When i change channels with Tvheadend addon the video freeze and become green.
I have to stop video and then change channel in order to work.
Is there anything I have to do to change this behavior?
Thnks in advance.

The simplest way is to solder IR receiver on designated pad. There are already some topics which describes how to do that. Using GPIO is definetly a possibility but unfortunatelly I can't help you with that. My focus is on other things right now.

I managed to solder the ir receiver, it 's been very difficult because the spot is so small, BUT as soon as i touched the soldered wire to connect it to the ir receiver the metal spot on the board came off like paper.
Anyway i've found out that Kore is the perfect remote control, better than anything else (if the Opi is connected)
