OK. I found the reason why my RTL8192SU is not detected. It was originally supported by the rtl8712  ...

Fun fact: If you take closer look to first few lines of the FW loading support patch, you can see that arch team produced it

Ha Ha, probably an advantage of the timezone

Do you mind adding the two patch snippet's that I provided into the linux3.4 patch file or as a separate patch file and then enabling the rtl8712 driver in the linux.arm.conf.

Once these are done probably someone can update the mega account with updated builds so that others who are waiting for the Wifi support can start testing.

EDIT: I see that you already enabled rt8712 in github. Time for building and making the img's available for testing... If no one else is doing by the time I go home, I'll do it.

Hmmm... That is interesting..
But I don't think the archlinuxarm guys will support anything which won't boot mainline in the near future..

hey, i'm new to this forum and i wanted to thank jerney for his hard work!

the reason to my registration was, that i needed to activate wifi, which i can see (read here) is probably done for now. even this sh*t mt7601 driver is included, which is driving me crazy to compile on ANY platform (OPiPC RPi2 x86_x64).

some other things i tried, after reading other threads the last days, is getting HDMI -> DVI to work with my acer 22" monitor. it doesn't work, don't know why. tried some different script.bin files provided by dietpi. my own work led me to some bad behavior of my monitor (no messages, no screen, not turning of). but with some of the dietpi script.bin files, it showed up  with "frequency not supported".
anyway, i wanted to get the TRRS out to work, simultaneously if possible!?

Please find the latest list of builds with most of the commonly supported wifi drivers enabled at the below link:

enjoy, test and report.

If you have any wifi range issues look at the previous posts -- in short there is nothing from the software that is responsible for that.

For newer devices like mt7601 drivers are not yet enabled. May be in near future. Till then try to get a cheap realtek or ralink one  with external antenna.

EDIT: Fixed the link.

Just experiment with the various script.bin available in the loboris kernel pack.  His distros almost got some 10-15 script.bin's with all commonly requested settings.

Hello,

I have a question about audio with higher bitrate like DTS-HD. I have the OrangePI PC connected to Onkyo amplituner. I have selected option "passthrough". "DTS-HD passthrough" etc. in Kodi options, but DTS-HD is not processing. Amplituner is thinking a while but not play any sound. Normal DTS is working.
Other OpenELEC installation on standard PC is working fine.
The question is.. is this a software or hardware problem? If software, what can I do to make it work.

Thanks.
