Hi guys, thanks for images, but on Orange Pi Lite is not working wifi connection, it shows nothing.

So do those images actually play videos? My hardware haven't arrived yet, so I can't test right now. I got a report from another forum that hardware acceleration does not work.

Hi, I've tried both builds on my Orange Pi PC. The one from smp doesn't use the VPU, so the CPU gets really hot after some seconds and the video stutters. The one from thc13 works, but it only plays low resolution videos, even with 720p it gets stuck or shows a black screen. This seems normal for now, as the Sunxi wiki describes exactly this problem: "Decoding H264 videos (especially in high resolutions) may consume more memory than there is available in the dedicated pool. This is because Kodi does not yet interact properly with VAAPI when freeing buffers. The result is that Kodi will hang or display a fully black video." https://linux-sunxi.org/Sunxi-Cedrus#Known_Limitations. I guess we'll have to wait for this to be fixed

Can you tell me the correct build parameters to build for orange pi one?

I tried to build from bootlin master branch, but my images are not booting proberly.

I gave them and also noticed uboot_system= for specific board  see for boards in uboot_helper in scripts

but these are the steps

git clone https://github.com/jernejsk/LibreELEC.tv -b aw_hw_dec

cd LibreELEC.tv

PROJECT=Allwinner DEVICE=H3 UBOOT_SYSTEM=orangepi_one ARCH=arm make -j 5 image

UBOOT_SYSTEM look for suppported boards in scripts/uboot_helper

and the -j5 option is if you have a multicore processors like almost all these days to make use of the extra cpus while compiling and the value is cpu cores + 1 so -j5 is for a quad core for example

and if everything went well you got a new folder namend target with the image and update file and checkums

also added more boards like the zero plus 2 and nanopi didnt check if kernel includes every board

and @martin5504 indeed the wifi driver is not incuded didn't find one yet that compiles and works can you help find it ?. is it a 8189ftv or 8189fs driver or can we use/edit the 8189fs-aml in the amlogic folder or the 8189fs patch in armbian ?? dont own a lite got beelink x2,one ,pc plus(damged emmc), pc2 ad zeroh5-plus .

and armbian patches could help to make the kernel include more drivers and boards like i added beelink x2 .


@jdpc thnks for the info ad yeah will have to wait but we have a nice new up to date start where everybody can help to level it up. i think that the last kodi patch from bootlin is not included in jernej git you got 4 patches while bootlin has 5 .

question what is a handy git tool to compare en merge ?

I tried for more than an hour with Firefox and Internet Explorer and Firefox Mobile and Dolphin with two different Internet acesses. I disabled all ad blockers and had plenty of ads, but I never was successful to download a file What browser works with which settings?
