Another important detail:
The real problem is not the class ... neither the capacity, but the consumption.
According from Steven at Xunlong, the problem with 16GB cards is that the machine can't deliver enough electricity for the SD reader to read such types of cards.
Checking quickly with google, I found an arduino reference confirming the differences about SD electricity consumption (https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=261021.0). In this case, newer cards consume more than older ones.
There, somebody indicates that the Lexar 8GB SDHC Card is very good on low consumption and it is, in fact, the first SD card worked for me with the 2G-IOT.
Do somebody has a SD consumption matrix that could guide us about how to obtain SD cards for this machine? This could help to reduce the problems when trying to make the machine to boot and to have a good working experience. |
