Hello!  Does IPTV work without lags and green screens?  Give me the password for Orange Pi 5B, pleas ...

If streaming from other services works for you then there is no reason to think that UPTV would be any different, with lags more likely being due to the particular service prodor, your internet reliability and your own home network stability.

I have found no issues with playing any format with reagrds to green screens, so there is no reason to think that IPTV, which is simpl a video stream, would be subject to green screen issues.

I've been using it continuously for a few days now, gathering up thoughts from tests for ideas going forward.

On the whole though, it is a very pleasurable experience and one that RK3588 users have been waiting for a while from the manufacturer, who has clearly given up on software development, choosing to show themselves as mere box shifters.

I am sure that things can only get better from here with only minor bugs and improvements being required to make it close to perfect.

bluesman thanks for the answer

IPTV worked badly on all firmware I tried. Green artifacts were more frequent than on other video streaming methods.

I really hope that mo123 was able to solve this problem.

I am waiting for the password for Orange Pi5B to test IPTV

Please test all the nvme firmwares too.
One or two users experienced a booting problem so just want to confirm if it works for others.

NVME works fine on the original board.

I've booted it at least 30 times in the past few days and so far, so good.

I use a Samsung PM991 256GB 2242.

Orange Pi5B

G10sPRO remote  works via bluetooth only. Connecting via dongle does not work

I can't install the following apps:
Filmix
https://filmix.ac/android/filmixapp-2.1.2.apk

OttPlay
https://github.com/prog4food/ott ... -play_1.54-foss.apk

HdVideobox
https://dl2.topfiles.net/files/2 ... _fix_08.05.2022.apk

All programs worked on all firmware that I tried. mo123 why they are not installed on your firmware?

A lot of people need full-fledged Android without lags and with H.265 decoding bug fixed, not Android TV.

mo123, make a release on full-fledged Android with Root,  please. Android TV has a lot of limitations and a bad GooglePlay.

I tested it out and it has everything that the other Android TV variants for OPi5 were missing. Just need to sort out a few quirks and it will be flawless!
I tried using this generic WiFi+Bt dongle (RTL8723BU Chip) that came with my OPi5 orignal when I purchased it from AliExpress, but unfortunately it doesn't even get detected by the firmware even though almost all of the other firmwares that I tried support it. I even tried intel ax210 on the m.2 slot with an adapter and that was a no go as well. It would be amazing if the support for multiple WiFi dongles/modules was added. Also I really wanted to write the firmware to a sata ssd that I had lying around but both the NVME or SD-Card/EMMC images are not working for it, it just doesn't boot from it. My end goal is to use one of these nifty little modules from AliExpress that extends out the m.2 on OPi5 to a seperate WiFi + SSD card slots. That will make the original OPi5 a complete package. Any help with this will be greatly apreciated. Thanks!

I purchased one of those RTL8821CU WiFi/BT dongles that are readily available and it works perfectly with this, Debian, Ubuntu, Armbian etc.

Orange Pi5B

@LoveKillers

You don't give much information to help your issues.

What precisely happens when you try to instal your apps?

I have found no issues with H.265 decoding, so if you have, describe them and perhaps give a link to the content that you have used or upload a sample to be tested.

H.265 decoding works fine

All three applications are not installed.  "The app is not installed" during installation.

@ bluesman try to install on your Orange PI5B please.
