On 8192cu system see usb dongle, kernel modul is loaded, but WLAN0 interface no exist. Please advice how to switch on it.
It's .fex

[wifi_para]
wifi_used = 0?
wifi_sdc_id = 1
wifi_usbc_id = 5
wifi_usbc_type = 1
wl_reg_on = portL07<1><default><default><0>
wl_host_wake = portG10<0><default><default><0>
wl_host_wake_invert = 0

I add

[usb_wifi_para]
usb_wifi_used = 1
usb_wifi_usbc_num = 2 #you can change this to the number of the usb you want to put the wifi jack in

May be need change somesing more?

Fixed with buying wifi dongle on RTL8188EUS chipset.

OK, I tried it on my OPI PC. The LAN's down, with only 1 working USB port active. I managed to get a keyboard & mouse working, on that port, with a passive 4 port hub.
I'm stuck.
You'll want to get more network controls, Wifi and other things working in the program.

Also the download links everybody seems to love posting to, are not very user friendly. I doubt that's really a one way street, given the amount of errors and broken links when down loads break that get reported here. Sooner or later (I vote for sooner) the developers need to get together, and find the best universal site that allows clean smooth & speedy downloads to happen (please expedite).

I'm working with 4 different OS, this Chromebook (locked Linux), Debian 8 (sid), (bletch) Windows (vista), and what ever the OPI-PC is (running at that time) Lubuntu.

Thanks, that failed too, but, I figured out why. just over writing the fat partition with the new files worked out better. It was then able to find my Vizio TV @1280x720 resoluition. So, Just leaving everything that doesn't get "overwriten" (in the boot partition) hurts nothing except space used.
Of sourse the 2 USB ports are working again. I tried plugging in a Wifi dongle and of course it didn't have the firmware installed, but it did recognize that something was available to do.
From what I remember, most of the driver firmware used by hardware is pre-loaded in the kernel. Our kernel for the most part is vanilla. Here's a thought, why not try de-compiling a full kernel (like the latest I386) and extracting what we're missing from it?

for gnome-language-support the package zenity is mandatory :

  1. sudo apt-get install zenity
Copy code
should do the trick

You should also need to install ibus for the keyboard input method

  1. sudo apt-get install ibus
Copy code

I have an Orange Pi Plus and this is hands down the best, fastest image I have ever run. Ive been able to play HD video, wifi works - FINALLY!!!   THANK YOU!!

As a courtesy I re-uploaded the exact, untouched image to my premium DropBox server in San Francisco California so anyone else can download it MUCH faster if they like, should be able to get at least 2MBps (megaBytes/sec) downloads to Europe. This is a public link so anyone can use it, feel free to re-post it.  THANKS again for this image it saved me so much time.
