Steven this orange pi plus looks very interesting. Is the sata implemented on the SoC or is it done through an USB to SATA bridge?
Still investigating what the best solution is to use as server for Amahi.

The clock speed is higher but the mali 400 series isnt even a proper gpu. Its just fragment cores. Lots of things matter beyond cores and clock speeds.

Orange Pi mini 2 as same as Raspberry Pi 2, Orange Pi mini 2 have allwinner H3 soc. beyond Raspberry Pi 2. quad core up to 1.6GHZ and 600MHZ mali400MP2.
Orange Pi 2 have wifi onboard(Orange Pi mini 2 +wifi).
Orange Pi Plus have SATA and 8GB EMMC and GIGA Ethernet (Orange Pi 2+ SATA+ 8GB EMMC +GIGA Ethernet).

Orange Pi mini 2 price is ?.
Orange Pi 2 price is ?.
Orange Pi Plus price is $59.
