This is plain wrong. The performance numbers posted here for the USB-to-SATA-bridge (GL830) used on the Plus do not look very promising (especially really bad write speeds that are way lower than what's possible using USB2.0), noone here seems to have any clues so far about practical consequences of cpufreq settings on the H3 (except for CPU shutdowns when the H3's internal thermal sensor realizes that it gets too hot -- compare with the Raspbian subforum), which will further lead to bad performance of a H3 based NAS, no mainline kernel/U-Boot support for the H3 so far (so no performance gains that are possible with mainline possible) and if you don't take care about all the performance relevant software setup stuff related with NAS useage then performance will further drop.
The H3 is clearly the wrong basis for a NAS. Let's better wait for the A40 instead.
