Sorry, it had to be done. I will try to work out everything, but i have some questions.

I will ne ...

I can help on the setup to build your own image :
Follow the basic step here to setup a Linux Virtual box and install GIT and other stuff :
https://github.com/igorpecovnik/lib   You don't need to get igorpecovnik branch, stop after you install GIT.

You should then be able to follow #10 here  http://www.orangepi.org/orangepi ... 1077&extra=page%3D1

You'll probably have some error about device tree compiler (it's written on #10, but I was blind).
sudo apt-get install device-tree-compiler
Hope this help!

If anyone cares, here are additional resolutions. I would accept patch which adds them as a new entry, not modified, as it is currently done in those commits:

EDIT

Edited by justiceiro at 2016-6-20 10:06

Sadilly, thing are not as simple as i thougth. It seems that i also need to make changes in the files that jernej mentioned, but the values are somewhat different. It took me the entire day, but i finally found out the meaning of most of them here:
https://lists.freedesktop.org/ar ... January/098588.html
and some of them in here:
http://www.orangepi.org/orangepi ... =viewthread&tid=444

using the example given by jernej, i made the same changes, and created the pacth. But, upon tryign to compile, i got the following errors:
edit: there is a possibility that i simply run out of space during compilation. had to create a 10 GB extra partition

Unless justiceiro manages to make additional resolutions work, you will have to find screen which support standard 720p or 1080p resolution.
