I explained situation already on another thread here, but let me recap:
Allwinner code has too many issues and non standard interfaces. I became tired dealing with and fixing video issues, so I stopped developing OpenELEC. But don't worry, I just switch my focus to rewriting (mostly hdmi) drivers from scratch, so they offer more functionalities (any resolution possible and autodected, hdmi audio passthrough, proper vsync, etc.). Of course this takes time, so you won't see any activity on my github regarding OpenELEC, but you should see it on other projects, currently U-Boot then on Linux.
And, no thanks, I don't need any money currently, I'm paid good enough by day job. I don't want to be bound by it. I already turned down similar offer. Everything I do is just for a hobby and I want to be free in my free time |
