Do you have any os on that card? Did you have OpenELEC before that on it?

-- Do you have any os on that card?
No, the card is formatted in NTFS now, is empty.

OK, did a clean install/update/setup. The sluggishness is gone (knock on wood), it all seems to function well, but that same video files still stutter.

Then it seems that bootloader is still there. What you have to do is to fully clear SD card, especially the first 10 KiB of the card. I guess you can find some tutorials on the net. I would rather not write the tutorial, because it is easy to specify wrong disk...

No, quick look didn't show anything suspicious and I don't have time for detailed analysis.

I guess you are on Windows. Go to disk management and make sure all partitions from sdcard has been deleted. Then format sdcard again. Windows is unable to see all partitions on sdcard.

Hello and thanks for accepting my access request to this forum.

I'm a newbie about embedded system and I purchase an Orange Pi One due to build a cheap media-center. I've succesfully installed both your image of LibreElec and OpenElec but I have not understand how to use the update tar: it's possible to apply this update to a running OpenElec? There is a guide about it?

Thanks in advance for your attention and for your work.

Simone

the update tar

you place that in the folder update and then reboot your device

and yes you could switch between eachother  from openelec > libreelec libreelec>openelec

Since the latest prebuilt image doesn't boot on my OpiPC on three different MicroSD cards, I've decided yet again to build the image myself.

The current git source cannot be built, some URLs don't work anymore:

In packages/sysutils/kmod/package.mk this line:

PKG_URL="http://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/kmod/$PKG_NAME-$PKG_VERSION.tar.xz"

needs to be changed to this:

PKG_URL="http://kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/kmod/$PKG_NAME-$PKG_VERSION.tar.xz"

In packages/x11/font/liberation-fonts-ttf this line:

PKG_URL="https://fedorahosted.org/releases/l/i/liberation-fonts/$PKG_NAME-$PKG_VERSION.tar.gz"

needs to be changed to this:

PKG_URL="https://releases.pagure.org/liberation-fonts/$PKG_NAME-$PKG_VERSION.tar.gz"

Here's the resulting latest (last?) image for OpiPC and manual update file: https://mega.nz/#F!QZdBVYyC!DBRDQTBpPMFzkxnSklHtCw

Tried someone install Kodi from this OpoenElec on Armbian? To have full Armbian plus Kodi-standalone without X?
