You mean CEC doesn't work with new test images? What about old ones?

Xbox 360 controller support might work after kernel update today. Do you want test update for that?

It seems CEC not working with any LG tv. Not even recognized and that's end the story. I can't remember exact model, but it has never worked with any image on my parent's LG tv, while Raspberry PI works like a charm. HDMI cable is the same. I guess LG there are multiple CEC standards and RPI uses other than OPI.
P.S. on LG TVs CEC is called "SimpLink", with OPI connected all items are grayed, so OPI is not recognized. As far as I remember, RPI is visible as HDD (but I'm not sure here)

To answer your question, I need much more information. Provide kodi log after you try to play a wmv video. Describe in detail how this issue looks like.

SimplLink is just another name for CEC. And while it is true that there could be some difference between implementations, it should be possible to resolve issues in driver. We just need someone with LG TV and skills to fix driver.

@Jernej: It has been a while since I've tested my Orange PC box. Yesterday I burned the latest (26-10-2016) image to an SD card and updated it with openelec-h3.arm-7.0-devel-20161116180910-r23118-g2d34c98.tar testbuild you posted earlier. I connected it to my Samsung UE40KU6020 TV. After booting up, CEC TV was recognized and I was able to control it for a minute then it suddenly stopped working. Unfortunately, connecting a Microsoft IR receiver did not help or is not recognized somehow. I could control it with the Android app "Yatse" though! So it did not crash obviously.

Can I help you somehow with some logs?

Another thing I would like to ask, is it possible to implement this patch: pp02-disable-autoscrolling-on-screensaver.patch
It pauses the RSS ticker when the screensaver is active. I think it will greatly reduce the power usage when the device is left on 24/7.

I will add patch if it works without modification. It is recommended to disable RSS on home screen anyway due to lesser heating.

I don't know nothing about MS IR. I pulled some patches some time ago, which may fix that. You can build your own image, test it and report.
