I can't answer that directly, but, I think I'm having a similar situation (that is still at this point un-resolved), so, can you give more details. IE: does the statis lights, change from "Red" to "Green" (from cold boot), with the Lan lights activated, and does it show the OpenELEC Splash screen during startup? Also, does toggeling the power button, (allowing the Lan Lights to shut down), cause it to start desplaying the main Kodi screen normally? You might try this, to see if the status changes. And, have you tried it at using other monitors and resolutions?

As far as I know, only 1080p is supported well by default now. To get other resolutions work, you need to regenerate some binary blobs - it sucks actually.

That resolution is not supported. Well supported and tested resolutions are only 1280x720 @ 50 or 60 Hz or 1920x1080 @ 50 or 60 Hz. Some other are also defined, like 4K, but not well test, so YMMV. This resolutions can be set by changing script.bin which is binary file. To modifify it, you need sunxi tools. You can find plenty tutorial on the net how to do that.

Currently, I'm looking into how to add other resolutions by making similar changes which were made to legacy linux 3.4 kernel for older Allwinner chips like A10 and A20. With a little luck, it will support arbitrary resolutions found by EDID. However, because H3 HDMI documentation is not published, it won't be possible to set just any resolution, but it should be much better.

Ok, CEC not working. Not even detected by TV. Should be visible via LG's Simplink but it does not. Not TV issue, because Raspberry PI Openelec supports it perfectly

Hi All,

I also tried the CEC with an LG tv, it worked for a few seconds then stopped. I don't know what could be the problem, but dmesg shows this error continuosly:
[CEC]No free cec line detected.

I've tested the 2016-08-06 OpiPC version. Several things I noticed (coming from a rather flawless working ODroid C1 running OpenELEC and C2 running LibreELEC), neither my Trust USB keyboard dongle nor my MS MCE USB Receiver are recongized/working. The internal IR-receiver does not seem to pass the MCE remote commands. Also, output over HDMI to my Onkyo receiver is always PCM 2.0. When I set the audio settings to 5.1 there is no sound when I play e DTS 5.1 stream (haven't tested AC3).

To control Kodi I used the android app 'Yatse'. CEC did work properly as the volume buttons in Yatse effectively controlled my Onkyo receiver.

Well, I'm the only one working on it with ocassional small improvements from others. I don't have any MCE remote nor AV receiver. mce decoder for internal IR is build as module, you must modprobe it first. I took a look before for passtrough and I though that I fixed it, but it turned out that basically whole driver must be reworked.

Will we able to change resolution via Kodi settings?

That already works from driver point of view. What doesn't work properly is actually mali driver. It doesn't re-check resolution when display is recreated. I checked amlogic mali driver and it works ok. I tried to add code for complete GLES re-initialization, but it didn't work. I really don't know much about GLES, so I probably missed something. Can someone help me with that?

BTW: You can change resolution in Kodi and accept changes. Then you issue "systemctl restart kodi" from ssh or serial console and Kodi should restart with proper rendering.

Regarding your boot problems:
- Do you have any USB device plugged in during boot, like USB hub with card reader? Try to boot without anything coonected to board, except HDMI.
- You have those problems on OPiPC, right? Not some kind of eMMC installation?
