My OrangePi PC board is not even booting with this image. I needed a distro with the Rtl8188cus driver but seems like it's not possible on my board i tried multiple times to compile the kernel myself ending up always with different errors. Can sombody share a working image for the OPi PC with the kernel already compiled?

Hello,

I have installed this images successfully on my Orange PI PC.
I want to use a MIDI-Keyboard with fluidsynth now, but when starting fluidsynth I receive the message:

ALSA lib seq_hw.c:457snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory

I have looked for the file /dev/snd/seq and indeed, it is not existing.
After searching with google I found out, that i may need some kernel modules.

I am starting fluidsynth with:
fluidsynth --audio-driver=alsa -o audio.alsa.device=hw:0 /usr/share/sounds/sf2/FluidR3_GM.sf2
Maybe I am missing something?

Can you help me with this problem, i would like to use my midi keyboard with the orangepi.

Kind Regards,
Vaka

This might be the answer:

I added to our 3.4.x kernel and you can try our next test build or DIY.

Hello igorpec,

Thanks a lot, this is most likely the fix.As i do not want to setup a toolchain to compile the kernel by myself I will test the daily build of armbian.
When can I expect the next build to be ready?

Kind Regards,
Vaka

http://forum.armbian.com/index.p ... armbian-experience/

You mean what time? If everything goes o.k., rebuild works during a night and is finished in the morning (my local time) else during a day when I fix and run it manually again.

I am using your Image run on Orange Pi PC Plus. The OPi manage to  boot up. I manage to install Apache2, MySQL. I can not install php. When I test out the php, the Apache2 do not process the php file but promt me to download the file. Any idea?
I am trying to run Freepbx and Asterisk on Orange Pi PC Plus, do you know where can I download the headless image to run on the OPi PC Plus?

You  ...

Hi igorpec,

I just wanted you to know that now my midi keyboard setup is working.

for anyone who is curious:
I am using an Alesis QX61 midi controller with the orangepi PC to play piano. The operating system is the latest armbian and the synthesizer software is fluidsynth. Latency is so small that I don't notice it while playing. When using a complex soundfont sometimes the key release event is not sensed and the tone continues to play a little longer than it should. All in all, it is totally acceptable.

In the future I am planning to use Jack audio with effects. When its done, i will post the results.

Kind Regards,
vaka

Regarding Apache is not rendering your php-File, instead it is downloaded by your browser: This is not Orangepi related. It sounds that your apache does not process php. You should search within stackoverflow for this problem. You may need to install or activate a php-module within your apache.
