Also can you see if your process is different from the one documented on the linux-sunxi site?  http ...

As for differences, I used libuntu-kernel.config instead of defconfig. It is not using rootfs.cpio.gz.
Also I added some options, vital for systemd v219, so I can boot ArchLinux properly.

Archlinux boots properly for you?
Have you used the 3 patches :

  1. 0001-Backport-BFP-XOR-operation.patch
  2. 0001-Backport-firmware-loader.patch
  3. 0001-Backport-msdos-partition-UUIDs.patch
Copy code

or without patches?
Sorry for the OT, but have not tried yet to boot archlinux.
would be great if it works

I didn't patched anything except gmac.
And yes, ArchLinux boots properly, but I experiencing strange behaviour when I logged in as normal user. Some apps getting killed at their startup. For example, I can run top, lynx, nano, vi, but I'm unable to run htop, tar, gunzip, xorg and many others. I don't see any messages about killing application in dmesg or systemd journal, except locanic 'Killed' in console. I googled, but I was unable to found anything similar except some problems with memory page size mismatch. And all applications works properly under root user account.

I was so disappointed with supplied kernel source, that I deleted everything associated with it. I'm not really enthusiastic about downloading everything again, patching and uploading to github. I can't even test it, since I do not have the board anymore. But maybe I could create a pull reguest to the existing repository (with broken ethernet) on github, if anyone would point me to one.

There is plenty of already patched kernels on github.com. This one is very outdated.
Check out http://linux-sunxi.org/Xunlong_O ... nxi/Legacy%20Kernel
