Can you all take some time and post what board you are using. What image works the best both Linux based or Android. I have tried a lot and still am undecided which to use.

I have pi one board have only tried stock rom.
Pi Pc and pc plus have tried nearly every android ROM here but found too many issues with not booting after a while or crashing or can only use 8gb storage on 16gb cards. Started to try Linux rooms tried on openelec so far but froze on me. Any advice would be great would like a good Linux rom that sideboard Android apps and KODI would be ace but not sure what this would be.

Check out this page. It contains a list with most of the Android/Linux images usable for several Orange Pi boards, with recommendations as well.
The page is in Russian, but you can use Google Translate (or Chrome's built-in webpage translation) to translate page into English - However, you probably won't need it, because the links are all organized in cells.

The "this page." part of the text from my last post is actually clickable, and takes you to the page I mentioned.
But here's the full link for you: http://piboard.io/topic/6/%D0%BE%D0%BF%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%B0%D1%86%D0%B8%D0%BE%D0%BD%D0%BD%D1%8B%D0%B5-%D1%81%D0%B8%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BC%D1%8B-%D0%B4%D0%BB%D1%8F-orange-pi

It's an open-source single-board computer. It can run Android 4.2 or ubuntu etc etc.
