Since OrangePi make their own IR remote control, and the Zero/R1 expansion board has IR, as well as IR module addable to the other hardware models, are there any plans to make an AndroidTV build which is more suitable for remote control interface (than touchscreen Android) were these could better serve as media devices? It seems that all the pieces are there, just a little bit more in software to enable all of it.

According to those over at atvxperience.com AndroidTV first requires an eMMC expansion card, which is ok for performance, but at a huge cost increase from uSD cards. A 128GB uSD can be bought for less than $20, but the maximum available eMMC is only 32GB and $25.
