Hello forum!
I've just ordered a OPi PC to set up a cheap syncthing server (so that it can be always-on).

For those who don't know what syncthing is: it's a Bittorrent Sync alternative that allows folders to be synced between computers. Check www.syncthing.net for more info.

My intention is to install Ubuntu Mate on the OPi and then syncthing, and run everything headless (possibly without loading the desktop environment).
Will I be okay by installing ARM version of syncthing? Or should I simply use deb packages from the repository?
And how to disable the desktop environment (I guess it would save some CPU resources and memory).

Thanks!

For anyone interested... I've installed Ubuntu MATE following loboris's instructions.
Then just install ARM version of syncthing, and you're free to go.
It works great so far.
