orange pi plus 2 h3 debian .unable to update ,upgrade or install software

I am using orange pi plus 2  h3 and debian image is installed to the emmc . I am a biginner
unable to update
root@OrangePI:~# sudo apt-get update

unable to upgrade

unable to install any software eg transmissionroot@OrangePI:~# sudo apt-get install transmission
