Hi!

Complete amateur here. I have a little problem getting a picture from OPi Lite.

I'm using RetrOrangePi 4.1 and I need to see it running on a LCD screen I borrowed from a laptop equipped with a Samsung-LTN150XB-L03 controller board that has one VGA port and a 1024x768 resolution cap, so I have to add a HDMI->VGA adapter in-between.

When I connect the OPi to a HDMI TV it works properly, and it works with a CRT TV when I connect them with a HDMI->RCA adapter (when the adapter is powered, otherwise I get a pink screen).

When I use any HDMI->VGA converter though, the only thing I get is an screen like this:

It's interesting because both HDMI->VGA converters (one of them powered) I use work just fine with an older Android stick and my RikoMagic MK36s Win10 miniPC.

At this point I need to know why connecting the OPi to a VGA port via adapters is causing an error on boot, and of course whatever the solution to this problem is.

Is there any possible that OPI Lite does not support the resolution of your screen?

RetrOrangePi is based on Armbian and they probably supply h3disp utility, which can adjust screen size to other resolutions.
https://github.com/armbian/build ... sp/h3disp#L202-L205

Command is:

  1. h3disp -m 32
