One more weird bug of Ubuntu Server 2016-11-24 image for Orange Pi Zero is that it only detects 2 cpu cores:

  1. # cat /proc/cpuinfo
  2. Processor       : ARMv7 Processor rev 5 (v7l)
  3. processor       : 0
  4. BogoMIPS        : 11858.81
  5. processor       : 1
  6. BogoMIPS        : 11858.81
  7. Features        : swp half thumb fastmult vfp edsp thumbee neon vfpv3 tls vfpv4 idiva idivt
  8. CPU implementer : 0x41
  9. CPU architecture: 7
  10. CPU variant     : 0x0
  11. CPU part        : 0xc07
  12. CPU revision    : 5

  13. # uname -a
  14. Linux OrangePi 3.4.39 #46 SMP PREEMPT Wed Nov 9 09:50:08 CST 2016 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux
Copy code

I have ended up using Armbian instead - it detects quad core fine
Very poor support of "official" Ubuntu Server. Avoid using it
