Ciao. I see much spam in this forum. I hope my message reaches someone who can be of help.
I am about to receive a 5 Plus from aliexpress. I have experience with a raspberry pi 4: I wrote my own script to build a bootable image for a SD card. There you have a normal disk image. The first partition is FAT32, there you have the kernel, the config file, the command line, the overlays, etc. In the second one you put the user FS that will be mounted as root.
I downloaded an image for the 5 plus. It is not recognized as a default disk image.
I saw the scripts that OrangePi offers for the automatic image recreation, but they limit you about the environment you can use. Specifically, I use the DEVUAN linux distro - that is, debian without SystemD. I want to builid my image under Devuan, and also install Devuan on the 5 Plus.
I am looking for a document that explains how the 5 plus SD disk bootable image is composed. I believe the partition with kernel and other files is there somewhere, but I could not find it.
Many thanks in advance for your help. This is a hobby project, so it will advance slowly, but I hope my 5 plus will eventually become usable.
