Sure, you just need a tweaked kernel and different fex settings for DVI:

Hi,

I looked at the changes to the kernel source (disp_display, hdmi_core),  and I am wondering if it is possible to set any 16:10 resolution ?

If I  compile the kernel with those changes how can I replace the original kernel in an android image with the tweaked one ?

I saw somewhere here similar problem it was solved by unpacking the rom, modifying fex file and packing back. So look for solution at the forum.

Hi i tried that multiple times for the Custom Beelink X2 v204k4 ROM but I it seems to me, that the Android is irgnoring the setting I put in the FEX file. Either the 720p resolution is hardcoded or the android is falling back to this resolution. Beside that, the original H3 Kernel has no 4:3 or 16:10 support for HDMI. The tweaked kernel uses hacks in the hdmi_core and display_disp sources so although the mode is called 720p60 it actually outputs 1280x1024. So I would like to replace the kernel in android image with the tweaked one or make my own modifications. I was not able to find out how yet.

Hi, thanks for your reply. As i wrote to the thread you mentioned the wm commands adjust only the screen size, not the false aspect ratio. In other words: the icons, text ... UI elements  still has wrong aspect ratio and are displayed stretched. Circular icons are not circles, but elipses.
