jacer, the 8188eu.ko is in the image. The driver is the updated v4.3.0.6_12167.20140828. Someone has it working so it's not kernel compiling issue, more like the set up/autodetection problem. I'm not sure I completely understand how the driver is loaded. The sys_config.fex may need to specify the usbc_num but I have not mapped out the USB port number yet, and I have no WiFi dongle to try (I use Ethernet only). What sunxi-8i.ko are you referring to? IR is working (though I can't power it up using IR, same problem I have with OpenElec or Armbian). I'm using Kodi 16.1 with my remote.

splodgie, it's set up to use 1080p by default. Some TV doesn't like the first boot process (my Panasonic TV doesn't recognize it at all during the first boot), but if I left it boot up the first boot without connecting a TV to it, my TV can recognize it during the second boot. No idea why this is the case, possibly need to tweak the sys_config.fex.

littlestone, now I try to configure the  IR. It not work from Boot, I have to reload the IR driver to run.
  1. rmmod sunxi_ir_rx
  2. insmod /vendor/modules/sunxi-ir-rx.ko
Copy code
But buttons of remote not fit, so I want to change them but no success. I modify /system/usr/keylayout/sunxi-ir.kl, but it decode only Generetic codes to keys. From where I can made it custom?

8188eu WiFi and HDMI Audio are not working on this firmware, I can confirm. I am pretty sure what raidera mean is it works with other firmware but not this one, since it is a kernel 3.4.112 version. For porting Realtek Wifi drivers to Kitkat, you may refer to this document below.

There are a couple of weird things going on. HDMI Audio works if I connect TV to it after it boots up, but there was no sound if it's connected before it boots up. Something annoying is happening about how the drivers are loaded.

I haven't been able to compile Android from source codes. Always run into errors even if I compile the vanilla codes released by Tronsmart. I think I will need to set up a different vbox for compiling Android.
