There are no disadvantages. Advantages? In short: we fix thermal issues (no overheating), MALI is overclocked, eMMC installer, no binary blobs, build on much newer factory kernel, updated with upstream patches, active support, you get updates usually once per month ... semi automatic, Debian way.

It's a huge progress from what you can find here.

Can we start spinning up images with working OPILite wifi and the correct script.bin? Openelec seem to work but arch doesnt

Sorry, I have made a mistake.

When I execute reboot command, my orangepi runs the image installed into emmc.

For any of the distribuitons, my OrangePI stops after the login. What am i doing wrong?

Just trying Lubuntu 15.04 for Orange Pi... Why the "networking disabled" ??? How to enable it so it can detect Wifi ???
And also there is no sound on 3.5mm .... How to enable it ?

I'm also trying the Lubuntu 14.04 from resource>>download and still no wifi enabled... how to make wifi enabled without ethernet cable connected.... X
PS : I use Orange Pi Plus 2
