Firefox crashing

Hi,
I have a problem that firefox will not load and just crashes.
Immediately after I started to use my newly installed Lubuntu it did work fine.
I then customised my installation, changed the keyboard, etc. did apt-get update and apt-get upgrade and installed a couple of packages I wanted.
Then firefox would not run anymore.
I used apt-get remove and apt-get install to make sure I have a clean up to date install (58.0.2) but it still will not work.
Chromium works without problems as does everything else.
Any ideas please?

Sorry I forgot to say that this is on the Pi PC.
