Sorry, runnerway, I have never tested Kodi's passthrough. This is the same Kodi as in the the SC_V1.1 and so if passthrough did not work then, it is not likely to work now.
Edit: Come to think of it, the situation could have improved, even though the CPU clock is lowered now. In the original DVFS and Cooler settings, if the CPU is overheated, the thermal throttling shuts down some cores (stuttering is a sign of that). The new settings would lower the frequency to reduce heat instead, and so even though it slowed down a bit, multitasking should still be smooth. Too bad my set up doesn't allow me to test it quickly and I'm going on the road in the next few days. So if someone tests this, please report back the performance. Mine OrangePi PC has only a small heatsink and it is enclosed in a small case, the idle temperature is about 56 degree Celcius, and Kodi can push it to about 80-84 degrees. |
